Preparing School Snacks

School is around the corner, and from lunch box notes to healthy snacks, I am trying to make the transition as easy as possible for the boys.


Banana Nut Muffins, where I substitute the oil for extra virgin Olive oil or Coconut oil, add extra walnuts, and ground flaxseed. I try to come up with ideas to sneak in healthy without sacrificing taste. baked goods are excellent for ground flaxseed (Omega 6 like the walnuts).



Dried fruit/nuts/seeds are a great trail mix, easy to store, and helpful in pre-packing lunches.


Don't forget the lunch box notes, and this year I am scrapbooking them, trying to make them as personal as possible, but mainly just a reminder to my kids that we love and support them.
